WELCOME! 

 

       My name is John Montgomery and I am asking for your support in electing me your next NC State Senator of District 40.  This past year has been a historic period for our country, our state and our county.  I am so excited to be a part of a movement of people whose sole inspiration is the betterment of the lives of every North Carolinian, from every walk of life.  I look forward to listening to your concerns, your views, and your ideas for an improved District 40.

 

       It is your collective voices that fuel my enthusiasm. It is your collective voices that will continue to serve as an inspiration, as I work with the elected officials of North Carolina, to better position Mecklenburg County as a premier international county.  I grew up believing in the type of education, quality jobs, and community services that provide a quality of life that excites people to live in our great county of Mecklenburg.

 

       My years of service in the Army National Guard, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, and working with state officials in the North Carolina General Assembly has prepared me to take this step to serve as your next state senator.  As a ten year resident of District 40, I have seen our community grow, and there is no greater district to live, work and play.  I commit to ensuring that all of our voices are heard in Raleigh; I commit to you that I will be present at every vote; I commit to you that I will not let your voice be tainted by "politics as usual." 

 

       Join me, to bring new leadership in our district, not because change is inevitable, but because change should happen only in the quest of something better; and our district deserves better.  I want District 40 to have a leader in the State Senate that is accountable, responsive, and committed to your needs.  I want to be that leader for you; "Truth in Service" is my life's mission and I am asking you to stand with me as we move our district into extraordinary greatness!
